My Little Texan

My niece Aubrey works for a lady who has horses, so while my family was here last weekend, we brought the kids over to ride the ponies. I figured Hazel wouldn't like it, but she surprised me and looved it. She doesn't really have much of a fear of animals yet it seems (much different than how I was as a kid)... unless a goat jumps up on her or comes charging at her, of course. There was a little, feisty goat named Tinkerbell, and she loved to pick on poor little Hazel and Faith. The ponies were much nicer, and Hazel loved riding on the cart and on them. After awhile, she started holding on with one hand and looked like a natural!

I love the bluebonnets at this time of year. They're stunning. I heard there are snakes in bluebonnets, but luckily we didn't spot any. I also heard that it's actually not illegal to pick them... not sure about that. We'll pretend Hazel didn't pick about 4.

How fun to get to ride on a pony. I love Hazel in that pretty white dress walking around in the flower patch. So cute!!!
