18 Months & 28 Years

My baby Hazel is a year and a half!  It blows my mind.  The day after she turned 18 months, we went to the circus!  The ghetto circus!  What's great about kids is that they don't know the difference between a small, rundown circus or a circus show in Vegas.  This one had an elephant, so that was worth it right there.

We went with our friends Shayla and Jones.  Hazel and Jones were so cute riding on the train together.

A few days later I turned the big 2-8!  That also blows my mind.  I have to say that this birthday was pretty fantastic (except for not seeing my parents and Angie, Dane, and Miles)!  Before my birthday, Joey and Kailynn took me to get a pedicure and frozen yogurt, and then a few days later, my friend Shayla took me to dinner and a chick flick.  On my actual birthday, Matt and Nat were here, and James had work off, so we got to relax, eat, and just hang out together.  We introduced the family to Torchy's Tacos, went shopping at the outlets, ate at Paradise Bakery, and went to Costco.  Who could ask for anything more?  And THEN the next day, James and I went to Six Flags, Costa Vida for lunch (the best pork salad on Earth), and the movies to see The Hunger Games for the second time.  Grandma Palmer watched Hazel all day for us so we could celebrate.  How great is she?  To top it off, I got plenty of birthday drawings from my nieces and nephews and birthday cards and calls from family and friends.  I felt pretty spoiled, very loved, and extremely blessed!  Initially, I was a little sad to turn 28 because I knew I was almost 30, but then I realized that this is the best stage of my life yet.  I'm living my dream.  So here's to another year!

See, even James got some love on my birthday.  He'll soon follow my lead and turn 28 in August!

Happy Birthday again! I seriously forgot all about it and was probably texting you to hang out last week - sorry! Hopefully we'll get together soon though so I can hear all about your great weekend :)
