Easter

In preparation for Easter, we talked about why eggs are a symbol of Easter and did a few crafts -- one while Grayson was awake (chalk was flying) and another while Grayson was asleep (no explanation needed).  The shaving cream eggs worked out pretty well and Hazel loved it!

The Saturday before Easter, we took a little cat bunny nap and then headed out to a huge Easter egg hunt in Plano.

There were a lot of fun activities in addition to the egg hunt like a petting zoo, ponies to ride, face painting, balloon art, jump houses, and crafts.  Hazel liked the little animals, but she wasn't interested in touching them.  That was fine by me... and my allergies.

For the egg hunt, each kid collected 10 eggs - there really wasn't much 'hunting' to it, but there were no complaints!

I couldn't believe how much Hazel loved the Easter bunny.  She was cute, not creepy; that's probably why.

Easter Sunday was beautiful!  What a perfect day to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior.

The 'Nothing Bundt Cake' was not a bad way to end the day.
