3 Things to Get Excited About

1 - I'm very proud to announce that James has successfully passed all 4 sections of the CPA exam!!! In order to be a fully certified public accountant, he still needs to work for 2 years, but he's done with the exams. As to not embarrass him, I will not make his scores public, but he did exceptionally well. I'm so proud of him for studying this summer (when he could have been playing) and for still making time for me. Congrats to James!

2 - As mentioned in an earlier post, James was on a city league basketball team (the Usetobees) with my brother Matt. After a month break of playing b-ball, they had the tournament on Tuesday night in which they played 2 games. Turns out their team won the whole tournament! It was awesome! They even had t-shirts and a plaque for the winners. I think it's pretty funny that our team, the team with guys who have the most children, beat all the other younger teams. Here's the team after their win!

3- OU WHO??? Need I say more? Who doesn't like an underdog win, but even more, who doesn't like BYU beating a full-of-Sooner-pride school in their first game of the season, in the huge, new Cowboys stadium, with their whole family, with only about 3,000 other BYU fans amongst 72,000 OU fans, with a ridiculous screen in the center that was clear as day, while screaming at the top of your lungs and shedding tears of joy?? I mean seriously. It was pure awesomeness. I'm so glad we were there to witness it! I've never watched a game in more detail and with more intensity than this one. We were exhausted when it was over. Plus, we were so excited about how well Bryan Kariya played, since we knew him and his wife in our Orem ward before we moved. He did awesome! We were SO proud of all the Cougars! We stayed for awhile after the game just walking around, basking in the glory of victory and enjoying the stadium. Here are a few pictures of the event.

Pre-game with Hall on the big screen. See all the red ants? Well, they all crawled away quickly when they missed the field goal at the end.

We woooooon!

Just fantastic.

Congratulations to James on the CPA stuff . . .

That screen is INSANE! That's the size all stadium screens need to be.
