Baby, It's Cold Inside 2

Notice that on "Baby, It's Cold Inside" Part 1, I strategically wrote "Our last hope" and not "We'll be warm again." Well, today came along, and there is another story to tell...

Heater man was supposed to come this morning at 8 am. At 7:30, he called and left a message saying he was going to be late because his son had to go get an x-ray. He supposedly needed his son to help him with the job because he was still sick and weak. His son was mysteriously further delayed, so James called and offered his large muscles. Heater man's response was that he just couldn't do it today after all... no response to James's offer. He kindly offered to come back Sunday (even though he mentioned he didn't like that idea) and Monday to finish it up. Well, James had had it by then, so he told him absolutely not. Today or that's it. James then got in contact with the landlord and the landlord fired heater man. Interestingly enough, before he was fired, heater man came to pick up the furnace and tools. I have to wonder how he was able to put the large furnace on a dolly and prop it up a half flight of stairs being so weak.
Well, anyway, our landlord contacted another company, and low and behold, he showed up right when he said he would! He left us some more space heaters and set up an appointment for Monday morning. Cross your fingers!

Greg and I are loving heater man just for the entertainment purposes! You guys should probably be a little more understanding though. I mean he must have been VERY weak after having Big D AND strep throat. I love him!!

Holy crap, that guy is dysfunctional beyond belief! Too bad you couldn't have had excuses for him as to why he couldn't come pick up his furnace. It's sad that people like him still have a job yet other highly competent people are losing theirs. I seriously wonder if the guy just has an excuse book that he opens daily. Seriously, no one can be THAT consistently dysfunctional! WOW! I hope heater man #2 is better otherwise I offer my services. I've never done heating, but hadn't done plumbing before living in this place, and quite frankly I'm pretty darn good with the plumbing fixes.

I'll be honest...not that I wanted to you be without heat, but I'm kind of sad that heater man was fired! I really wanted to see how long it took him to actually get the job done AND so we could hear more amazing excuses! That is unbelievable!! I DID love the Reader's Digest version over the phone...it made my week! Sorry you are suffering with no heat but thanks for the laughs! I needed it! Love you!
