For Father's Day weekend, I was lucky enough to see both my father-in-law AND my dad! It wasn't planned originally, but it worked out great. The Texas Palmers took a weekend off to relax in San Antonio. On the drive down, we stopped in good ol' Gruene, Texas for a delicious lunch at The Gristmill. It was old and cabin-like and right on the river.
Check out the size of these onion rings. Now those are TEXAS size... and DELISH.
I was a little worried about the heat factor in San Antonio, but the family was very nice to make sure we didn't hang out in the sun all day. The riverwalk wasn't too hot, and we were a very short walk to the mall and the Alamo. Here we are on our nice, relaxing ride on the river.
The other place we strolled through was El Mercado, another strip of little stores and restaurants. We had a delicious, festive breakfast at one of the restaurants there for Father's Day.
Luckily, the surgery went well, and Mom and I survived taking care of the kiddos. =)
I got to spend more time with their newest addition to the family, Ty, and I just love him! He's the sweetest baby and doesn't stop smiling.
We all swam, read, played, dressed up, danced, and picked some corn.
And now I'm back with my man, and I love that too!

What a great weekend! We're headed to San Antonio this weekend. AND- how cute are you with your little baby belly!! You are looking beautiful!! Glad you're happy and feeling good!
Sounds like you had a great time. I agree with you that your little one is going to love chips and salsa. When Maren was pregnant with Braydon, all she ate was cucumbers. Braydon can't get enough of them, just like his mom. So, you better stock up on some good chips and salsa.
I'm dying laughing at the pic of my kids with the corn! So unflattering of ALL of them!! They still are the cutest things ever though! And that picture of TY....(sigh)...so cute...especially with his camo shorts and BYU tee!
Ok, Nat's right. The corn pic is adorable. And, we all loved seeing that little baby bump. Can't wait to hear names!
