Rat Hunting
James went out to get the lawn mower from the shed last weekend only to find tons of pellets on the ground. That only meant one thing.... a RAT! James and I both HATE those things, but who really likes them? So, right away he went to Home Depot to get a mouse trap. The guy at the store said there's not a rat in the city that can get by this nasty trap. So James lathered it with peanut butter and set it in the shed. While he was out there, it was confirmed that there was a small rodent in there.... because it scurried away when he went in! Ahh!! Well, the next day rolled around and James went out there to inspect.... only to find that we've still got ourselves a very clever rat on our property! Every drop of that peanut butter was licked off the trap, but there was no rodent to be found.

I love the suspense!!!
I hope this turns out to be as good as the plumber series!
Ok Christie, did he try the sticky tray mouse trap? Those worked really well for us in Lubbock. Make sure you get the biggest tray. You can put peanut butter on this one too, since it sounds like your little friend has a weakness. This is all that has worked for us. Good luck!
Is it bad of me to say to lace the peanut butter with rat poison? I figure he's a goner if the trap ever snaps on him anyway. My friend had a rat climb up in her car and chew all the engine wires (not cheap). GO GET THAT SUCKER!
I'm not coming over until it's dead......
I can't believe how smart that little thing is. Yuck! I'm kidding though. As long as he stays out in the shed we'll be fine. :)
I hope it is a mouse and not a rat. They are so gross. After Hurricane Rita, we had them in the back room (which thank goodness is closed off to the house). One of them must have died in our artificial Christmas tree box. The smell was awful, so that box went out front for the garbage men. We didn't even open it.
There were still some in the back room. One night Ryan was back there, so one skitter and he stepped on it and killed it. Oh, rats are just plain GROSS!! Needless to say, the backroom is ratproof now.
