My week was full of spending time with my nieces and nephews. I can't ever get enough of them!
We had a pizza party, and we made a delicious dessert pizza that I've been wanting to make with Aubrey and Bit. It's sugar cookie crust, strawberry jam pizza sauce, white chocolate cheese, fruit roll up pepperoni, and candy vegetables. Delicious!
Of course, I spent time cooking with Mom, but this time the highlight was learning to bottle peaches with her. Dad LOVES the stuff, so Mom and I spent a few hours boiling, peeling, cutting, and filling bottles. It's quite a process, but it's worth it! It reminds me of the delicious canned peaches my mom's parents had every time we visited them in Salt Lake. Here's my cute mom working away to make Dad happy.
James came down for the weekend to go to Sabrina and Dustin's reception and to bring me back to Dallas. They had the reception at her dad's house in Jasper by Sam Rayburn lake. It was very pretty there, but it was extremely hot. They had the program and a picture of the couple printed on paper fans. Clever. Many of her siblings sang love songs and then they danced up a storm (regardless of the sweat stains). =) Sabrina and Dustin are very happy, I'm so excited they'll be in Utah with us for one more year! Can you tell we're a little warm?
I snapped a picture of the men in my life at the reception as well. I'm constantly amazed by my grandpa. Sadly, Grandma couldn't come, but she's doing better, so we're grateful for that. Here they are... James-24, Matt-33, Dad-63, G-pa-93!
The ride home was a bit thrilling in that it was my first time driving a stick shift on the real roads! James gave me the straight shot from Beaumont to Cleveland, but I still did have to stop, slow down, and go a couple times. =) Scary! James has been a great teacher this summer. He taught me little by little and even came up with some drills to identify and master my weaknesses. I still don't feel 100%, but I'm sure I will after I help him drive back to Utah! ahh!
We just have 1 more week in Texas until we drive back to Orem!

I'm glad you got to spend some time with family before leaving. It's hard to be away... Way to go on driving stick!! If only I still had my little green civic. Those cars are great. When you guys taking off this weekend?
You must tell Sabrina congrats from me. She looks beautiful! It would be so fun to have even five minutes to chat with the both of you. Have fun in Texas and good luck with the drive!
